The death of the forest is the end of our life.
- Dorothy Stang
Good people, a slight change is afoot. It has dawned on me that it is fool hardy to continue to send out monthly missives at the end of each month. It lands in your inbox just in time for the calendar to flip. Causing me (and perhaps you) all sorts of contemplative confusion. Gives me a twitch to think about it, so I am switching it up.
The NonRequired Reading List will now reach you on the first day of each month. So tomorrow you will find a freshly pressed June NonRequired Reading List in your inbox.
Breaking routine can be tricky, so in the meantime, please enjoy this “Old Growth Forest”.
This sparks renewal in the ancient, giving me fresh perspectives on the dimensions of my practice. Thank you Paul!
Thanks for the lovely reflection on time and old growth forests. Being ac1 on the enneagram tends to make me very miserly with my time -there’s never enough. I love the idea of morning meditation as being an act of resistance when resistance often appears to be futile. Keep up the good work!
